Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby in stunning fashion on Saturday afternoon.

The 80-1 longshot horse came from behind to win the 2022 Kentucky Derby in mad fashion at Churchill Downs on Saturday.

It was such a crazy finish, in fact, that Rich Strike’s coach didn’t even see it.

“My back gave out. I was on the ground before the horse even crossed the wire. All my friends and family piled on top of me,” Rich Strike trainer Eric Reed told the journalists this weekend.

It’s quite ridiculous.

Fortunately, Reed and his family were able to enjoy the victory later on Saturday afternoon.

It’s really unbelievable.

“The media don’t understand how crazy it is. A last minute replacement horse who ran a race like no other. The jockey threading the needle and passing high caliber horses. This is the stuff of movie dreams and legends,” one fan tweeted.

“Thank you for the amazing memories, Eric Reed and Rich Strike. It was a joy to watch! Wishing you more success as you hopefully strive for that Triple Crown!” another fan added.

Congratulations once again to all participants.
