Day one of the 2022 Grand National is now over and racing fans were sure to have a blast on the opening day of the festival.

Arriving at Aintree Racecourse this morning the fans were greeted by rain and high winds, but despite the gloomy weather conditions the fun was not hindered at all – in fact it was simply made the event more intimate.

Throughout the day, the ladies and gents of Aintree made the most of their day of racing, taking shelter from the rain in the stands and equestrian centre. Whether it was having a drink with friends or winning big (or small) on the horses, the first day of the Grand National certainly proved to be memorable.
