Hazards: Four years at home 5. Mentalism has had four weeks between races since a fair first effort here in heavy ground, and is drawing to get a smoother ride. Big watch on the takeover of the filly from Redoute’s Choice 8.Bahamas, which also tested in a smart way.
How to play it: Victory of the Russian Standard. Odds and Evens: odds

Race 2 BENCHMARK 64 HCP (1000m)

Same course for the most experienced sprinters, and while eight-year-old Canberra 7. Rafha’s Choice can mix up his form, he’s fit and ready to strike, losing weight heavily. Led for a long time in a stronger Federal at home a month ago before failing under a heavy weight in a BM 65. Well treated under 56kg in this grade.
Hazards: Promising filly 2. Sebrenco resumes after a period of seven months without a public trial. Finished no further than second in four starts and was scratched from a very winnable race at Tamworth on Monday to be saved for it. Four-year-old home track 3. Don Luigi is not a big-name young performer and hasn’t raced in 10 weeks, but stretched well to win a recent open class trial here. Included in exotic metro mare 6. Tudor Music and local mare 9. Returning Star first after dragging Don Luigi home in this trial.
How to play it: Rafha’s Choice to win and top four 2.7/2,3,6,7,9/2,3,6,7,9/2,3,6,7,9.
Odds and Evens: To divide

FIRST PLATE Race 3 (1300m)

Delicate and open competition for mainly three-year-olds at fixed weights. progressive filly 8. Dalchini was very good at the end of the first after a 23-week break at Warwick Farm, finishing so strong that she ran out of space in the final 50 yards. Fits even better to get to the bigger track, and she can put in a lot of preparation by winning that.

Hazards: Waiting for a Godolphin filly 12. Harassment to come back strong, first run since finishing within four lengths of Group 2 winner Wakeful at Flemington at the end of October. Was in the spotlight during a provincial trial and showed plenty of it when fresh last time out before being pushed on longer trips. Big watch on the filly recovery 11. Poetic Drama who returns after a five-month break and a forward trial for his first New South Wales race following two fair efforts at Bendigo last spring. To improve 1. Baranoff with blinkers back on the third up; 2. Champions League fresh behind two tries; and Real Impact rookie 4. World meeting are all knockout prospects with higher odds and can be submitted to all Exotics.
How to play it: Victory of Dalchini. Odds and Evens: Evenings
