Royal Ascot Ladies Day 2021: the best outfits and outfits

Today’s Royal Ascot racing fans didn’t let the rain and drizzle dampen their spirits as they kicked off Ladies’ Day in a bevy of feathered hats and bold hues.

Typically the most forward-thinking event of the five-day festival in Berkshire, Thursday’s Gold Cup Day saw racing fans dressed in nine to celebrate the world’s most celebrated and stylish day at the races.

Under Covid restrictions, only 12,000 revelers received tickets for each day of Royal Ascot as part of a series of pilot events taking place before the lockdown.

Among the best dressed participants was equestrian and Olympian Zara Tindall, who looked effortlessly in a black dress with floral puff sleeves, RayBans sunglasses and a pale pink fascinator.
